AnyHero card using a photograph I took (updated!)

I know, isn’t Cody-the-Dog just the cutest? So I admit that i have some post-cardmaking regret … I shoulda shoulda shoula embossed the orange layer prior to committing adhesives and the ribbons . . . DOH!

I mean, for the most part, the card turned out ok, I guess that under time constraints, I’m not thinking about other embellishment techniques to add to the design . . . my thought is that since I’m still so new to papercrafting in general, I don’t always think about those things. Well, it’s no worries, I have enough paper and copies of this photo to make a few more and make adjustments along the way.

So I just couldn’t take it anymore and made another card on this vein . . . wow. I feel so much better now!

this card design is in response to a weekend-long challenge for national scrapbooking day where volunteer cardmakers (like moi) make super-duper cards for Operation Write Home. for this card, i was challenged to make a card using a photograph i took and incorporate it into the design:
