so impressed at the depth of learning offered by operation write home. making cards and writing letters to deployed servicemen/servicewomen is great enough in and of itself, but the incredible support and guidance with their tutorials, vlog, and crafting network makes it even more worthwhile.
i originally started making these greeting cards to help me cope with hubby’s calling, but it turns out that a whole new world has opened up to me. not only do i feel better about him going into harm’s way to make this world a little safer, but i’ve added one more thing that brings some fun and adventure into my life. . . and i’m so NOT a crafty-type chick . . . i’ve always been more of a DIY/outdoor/sporto nerd with secret fantasies of saving puppies and bunnies from evil aliens . . . layering and embellishing paper was never on that list . . . yet, here i am.
so this is one more reason why trying new things (even if it seems a bit out of reach) is so great.
no one ever said that showing solidarity to hubby and his brethren was exclusive to climbing, crossfit WODs, and endurance sporting events . . . why limit myself?! : )
